Ok, basically you are a summoner and you control a champion. Every champion has unique abilities. You have to fight against other champions in a 3v3 or a 5v5, it depends on the map you choose (LoL currently has two): Twisted Treeline or Summoner's Rift.
I'll try to explain more about the game in the following posts. In the mid time, you can try it out for yourself (it's free). The game has tutorials and stuff to help you get started:

I actually played this game before but im horrible at it :P i got something like 0-16 on one of the matches.
I hate it when I get dumped on for sucking too much :/.
